Holiday Tree

As the Principal, I have had the privilege for many years of making crafts with each class each year for our tree in the center hallway. You will be getting them sent home this week.  Look for turtles (Kindergarten), Rudolph (first grade), white wreath (second grade), bear on a candy cane (third grade), Panda Bear (fourth grade) and the famous Hamburger (fifth grade).  The humorous part is that children are starting to say, “My Mom made this ornament with you!”

Winter Weather

We like to have the students enjoy fresh air at lunch time.  Please be sure to send warm coats, hats and gloves to school with your child!

The Safety Patrol will not be on the corners in extreme weather conditions. Those conditions are more than a dusting of snow or ice or if the wind chills make the temperatures too cold to play comfortably.

Events Coming Up!

Once we return in January, you will be receiving information about Chess Club.  Students in third, fourth and fifth are encouraged to play chess two days a week during playtime starting in January.  Also, Jump Rope Club will be starting for third, fourth and fifth graders the beginning of February one day a week after school from 3:00-4:00.  That information will also be coming home mid-January!

Holiday Greetings

My sincere wishes for a wonderful holiday season for each student and their families.  See you in 2017!
